<p>According to the invention, a lamp operating device (1), which adjusts the brightness of a light source (LA) in accordance with brightness commands when the light source is operated (LA) with the aid of the lamp operating device (1), continuously or gradually adjusts the brightness of the light source (LA) from the current brightness to the new brightness within a dimming period (T) after receiving a new brightness command. The inventive operating device (1) automatically determines an adequate dimming period (T) based on the points in time (t1, t2) when the current brightness command and previous brightness commands is/were received.</p> |
