Used oil purifying process consists of placing at least two electrodes in a used oil, immersing in the oil large electrically conductive grains, and producing a distruptive voltage between the electrodes so as to cause discharge among the grains in order to agglomerate the carbonised particles to a mass of such size that it can be fltered by a conventional device. The carbonised particles consists of separated carbon from the local decomposition of the oil, separated from the surface of individual grains by electro-erosion and present in the original oil as residual carbon and ashes.
|
