PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling uplink power of a mobile terminal in a satellite telecommunication system is provided to transmit the detected power value to the mobile terminal by detecting the transmitting signal power by channels. CONSTITUTION: A satellite repeater measures the signal power level of a mobile terminal. The satellite repeater transmits the signal power level to the mobile terminal(S312). The mobile terminal compares the electric power level and existing electric power level(S314). The mobile terminal calculates the needed gain value for a difference value between the measured power level, and the existing standard power level(S316). According to the transmitting frequency, the mobile terminal controls the electricity of the transmitting object signal as the calculated gain value(S318).
