<p>Water-soluble salts of partial esters of haloalcohols are prepd. by reacting halogenated >3 C alcohols with sulphamic acid in the presence of an inert reaction medium and advantageously a reaction accelerator, such as urea, at 110-140 degrees C. They are used a flame-proofing agents for synthetic fibre textiles, and are pref. applied by impregnating textiles with aqs. bath thereof, opt. contg. an agent to prevent blooming, such as a polyglycol.</p> |
