PURPOSE: A display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the breakage of a semiconductor layer during the manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A display device comprises a lower substrate, a lower display plate including pixel transistor on the lower substrate, an upper substrate(210), and an upper display plate(200) including lead out transistor which transmits detected signal. The lead out transistor includes a first lower gate electrode located on the upper substrate and a first semiconductor layer which is partly piled up with the gate electrode. An infrared ray sensing transistor includes a light shielding layer(210l) and a second lower gate electrode on the light shielding layer.
