<p>Cooling of hot agglomerates, in particular fritted Fe minerals, is effected by blowing cold air through a continuous series of slots set in two differentially inclined chambers, through which the agglomerate passes. The chambers rotate around a common vertical axis, and the cooled agglomerate passes via single or series of rakes onto a moving band in both the centre and perimeter. Cooling efficiency is increased over prior devices, particularly at the bottom surfac of the hot agglomerate.</p> |
