PURPOSE: A boring machine is provided to improve the efficiency of underground boring work, since working time is reduced by the connection and separation of drill rods. CONSTITUTION: A boring machine comprises a lead, a head portion(30), a bit unit, a tool clamping unit(40), a rod cartridge unit. The lead is installed in the main body of a borer. The head portion is installed in the lead to be slidable and is moved up and down by a lifting device. The head portion has a driving shaft(31) combined with one or more drill rods which connect to each other. The bit unit is installed at the end of the drill rod coupled with the driving shaft. The tool clamping unit is installed in the lead and clamps the drill rod to couple and separate the drill rods. The rod cartridge unit is installed to be adjacent to the lead, supports the drill rods, supplies the drill rods, and collects the drill rods.
