<p>A fishing rod of hollow telescopic sections has a whip section fixed on the end, pref. by a detachable plastic fitting, and springs to guide the incoming line through the hollow sections. Pref. the handle is offset about 10 degrees to accommodate a reel. Pref. the telescopic segments are formed by a tape of a hydrophilic polymer or aluminium ribbon, overlaid by polyethylene as an adhesive base on which to build up reinforced polybutene tapes. The rods are up to 6 m long, of light weight, offering good balance and a free running cast in wet or windy conditions.</p> |
