<p>Method of fixing abrasive particles, esp. diamond, into a grindstone esp. for use as a fraise, a plane surface cutter or profiling tool for dressing silicon carbide and similar shaped tools, comprises first coating the body of the tool with a substance (I) which is to be removed later, provisionally fixing the particles onto the grindstone base with the aid of an agglomerant used in quantity sufficient to partly fill the voids between the particles, removing the substance (I) by dissolution, electroplating the body with nickel which replaces the substance (I). The agglomerant may be glass or plastic, and the substance (I) is pref. a grease.</p> |
