METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF NON-POLAR GINSENOSIDES

PURPOSE: A method for analyzing non-polar ginsenoisides is provided to evaluate the quality of red-ginseng by measuring the contents of the non-polar ginsenoisides in the red-ginseng. CONSTITUTION: Non-polar ginsenoisides contained in a sample is selectively extracted by a liquid-liquid extraction method. The extract is separated by a reversed-phase liquid chromatography. The separated sample is processed with a basic solution and is detected by a pulse type electrochemical detector. The column temperature of the reversed-phase liquid chromatography is between 35 and 50 degrees Celsius. The basic solution is the 200mM of a hydroxide solution.
