PURPOSE: An automatic focusing method using a VCM actuator is provided to accurately and automatically controlling focus by compensating the hysteresis that the downward position value and upward position value of the VCM actuator are different. CONSTITUTION: An automatic focusing method using a VCM actuator is as follows. Image is captured if a lens is lifted. The AF upward position value, which is an upward position value of the lens when mostly well focused(S220). It is judged whether the downward position value of a code value, which is a bit value corresponding to the AF upward position value The code value corresponding to the downward position value, most approximates to the AF upward position value, is selected in order to revise automatic focusing code value. |
