COOPERATIVE MULTI HOP RELAY APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A cooperative multi hop relay apparatus and a method thereof are provided to optimize the number of feedback bits by using a code book in consideration of the number of repeaters in order to configure an optimal channel environment when transferring feedback information from a base station. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal(10) transfers a pilot signal, and a repeater receives and transmits the pilot signal. A base station(30) transfers a feedback signal by using the repeater in consideration of the performance of a bit error rate. The base station confirms the channel state between the repeater and the base station based on the pilot signal received from the repeater. The mobile communication terminal transfers data through the repeater which considers the best channel environment between the repeater and the base station.
