PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and an image processing method are provided to prevent the deterioration of image quality and to process a graphic image. CONSTITUTION: A first image output unit(10) outputs a first image signal. A second image output unit(20) outputs transparency information for a second image signal. An image mixing unit(30) outputs a third image signal which mixes the first image signal and the second image signal. An image processing unit(40) processes the third image signal on a display unit. A control unit outputs location information to the image processing unit.
