A tool holding assembly comprises a base member 11 to which there is secured a support member 19 of inverted U-shape cross-section and through which extends a lever arm 31 connected to a transverse pin 83 and about which the lever arm may pivot in a vertical plane, the lever arm having a head portion upon which is securable a roller box-type cutting tool assembly. An adjustable spring assembly 43, 45 is attached to the support member 19 which urges the lever arm into engagement with an adjustable stop 51. In use the spring biased pivoting of the lever arm permits the cutting tool to remain in correct engagement with the workpiece in spite of slight variations in alignment between the tool holder and the workpiece. The tool cutter and roller are set to produce a given diameter workpiece. |
