SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING SOUND QUALITY IN HEADSET OF STFD TYPE

PURPOSE: A system and a method for improving sound quality in a headset for an STFD(Single Transducer Full Duplex) are provided to obtain high performance by improving the sound quality in a high frequency band. CONSTITUTION: An analysis filter bank(120) divides a signal of a low frequency component into a sub band. A sub band duplicating unit(130) generates a high frequency component by duplicating the sub band samples of a low frequency component on a high frequency component. A low frequency envelope estimating unit(140) estimates envelope data of the low frequency component according to the sub band by adding the energy of the samples of the low frequency component. A high frequency envelope estimating unit(150) extracts the envelope data of the high frequency component mapped on the envelope data of the low frequency component from a memory. An envelope correcting unit(170) corrects the envelope data of the high frequency duplicated by the sub band duplicating unit by using the envelope data of the high frequency component extracted from the high frequency envelope estimating unit. A synthetic filter bank(180) synthesizes the sub band sample of the low frequency component and the high frequency component to the time domain signal.
