PURPOSE: A continuous-type thermal treatment apparatus for decomposing high water content organic sludge, and a method thereof are provided to easily reduce the weight of the sludge by separating the moisture from the sludge by decomposing. CONSTITUTION: A continuous-type thermal treatment apparatus for decomposing high water content organic sludge comprises the following: a supply pump(13) for continuously supplying the organic sludge; a sealed reactor(22) for thermally treating the organic sludge; and a controlling unit for adjusting the pressure greater the saturation vapor pressure.
