<p>Capacitor ignition system for internal combustion engines has a storage capacitor and a controlled rectifier and a control circuit with a capacitor with one terminal earthed, a controlled auxiliary rectifier, and series resistors, with a charging and a discharging path for the control capacitor, anda common current source for both circuits. The charging branch consists solely of the first series resistor, lying between the current source and the other terminal of the control capacitor. The discharge branch consists solely of the auxiliary rectifier and the second series resistor; this rectifier has its anode connected to the other terminal of the control capacitor and its cathode connected via the second resistor to the control electrode of the controlled rectifier.</p> |
