<p>A continuous filter press, esp. for peat, potatoes, fruit, comprising two filter bands backed up by rollers pressing the material between them, has the roller on each shaft made up of several separate rolls with gaps between them, the rolls on the adjacent shafts pref. being staggered so that rolls can overlpa. The arrangement improves expulsion of liquid for a given roller load.</p> |
