<p>1316893 Coating SCHERING AG 23 June 1971 [23 June 1970] 29425/71 Heading B2E [Also in Divisions B5 and C3] A process for coating or covering at least part of a surface of a substrate comprises applying to the surface a preparation, which is suitably mixed before application, comprising a hydroxyl group containing polyester which comprises structural units of the formula -O-(CH 2 ) 5 -CO- and has a hydroxyl number of from 35 to 190 and at least an equivalent quantity, calculated on the hydroxyl number of the polyester, of an isocyanate component which comprises an aromatic diisocyanate and/or an aromatic triisocyanate (see Division C3), and curing the preparation. The surfaces suitably comprise a chlorinated polymer, e.g. polyvinyl chloride, which may be plasticized. The surface may also be of a rubber. Fabrics may also be coated using the above preparations. The preparations may be dissolved in a solvent.</p> |
