PURPOSE: A catalyst-flame composite combustion apparatus for a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell is provided to stably maintain the thermal equilibrium of the apparatus and to completely treat by-product gas in the outlet of an anode. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst-flame composite combustion apparatus for a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell is composed of a catalyst combustor(1a) and a flame combustor(1b). By-product gas(22) is discharged from an anode. Air(21) is supplied from a blower. The catalyst combustor burns gas mixed with the discharged by-product gas and the supplied air and supplies the burned gas to a heating source of a MCFC. The flame combustor burns combustion air and combustion fuel. A hole is formed in the center of a catalys unit(51) in the catalyst combustor. The flame combustor is inserted into the hole of the catalyst combustor.
