PURPOSE: A tool holder for forming grooves is intended to prevent the strength decrease due to a blade by firm support of axial and vertical directions against cutting resistance. CONSTITUTION: A tool holder for forming grooves comprises a holder unit(100), a blade(150), a coupling bolt(166) and a clamp(170). The holder unit comprises a clamp pocket(120) and a coupling female screw(136). The coupling female screw is formed on one side of a head(110). The blade comprises a slit(152), a bolt seat(167), a recess(168), a lower jaw(162) and an upper jaw(163). The bolt seat is formed on one side of the inner coupling hole(158) of the slit. The recess is formed to be lower than the surface of the bolt seat. The upper and lower jaws hold a cutting insert(30). The coupling bolt is inserted into the coupling hole and is fastened to the coupling female screw. The pressing piece(174) of the clamp presses the side of the upper part of the blade.
