METHOD FOR SHORT TERM PRODUCTION OF ELITE TRANSGENIC RICE LINES BY USING ANTHER CULTURE AND BACKCROSS

PURPOSE: A method for producing transgenic rice using anther culture and backcross in a short time is provided to save time and cost and to develop novel rice species. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing transgenic rice comprises: a step of inducing haploid callus in a callus-inducing medium; a step of transforming a target gene to the haploid callus; and a step of redifferentiating transformed rice from the transformed callus. The callus-inducing medium is a medium containing yeast extract, 1-naphthalene acetic acid, 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, and sucrose.
