MEDIA FOR CULTURING MICROBES CONTAINING WATER HYACINTH EXTRACT AS MAIN INGREDIENT

PURPOSE: A microbial culture medium containing water Hyacinth and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to lower costs. CONSTITUTION: A microbial culture medium contains water Hyacinth extract as a main ingredient. The microbe is Bacillus, E.coli, yeast, Streptomyces, Lactobacillus, Pseudomonas, or a recombinant microbe. A method for preparing the microbial medium comprises: a step of applying water Hyacinth to an extruder to obtain a liquid extract and solid residue; and a step of mixing the liquid extract and solid residue and treating with acid or alkali for softening. The alkali material is calcium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide.
