The method involves abutting a first abutment surface (34) on the outer periphery of an outer shell (4) against a first contact surface (32) on a frame (2). A spacer (28) for clamping the outer shell is pressed in between a second abutment surface on the outer periphery of the outer shell and the frame. The outer shell and an inner shell are to be fastened on a crushing head to define together a crushing gap for receiving a material to be crushed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an outer shell; and (B) a gyrator crusher; and (C) a spacer member for fixing outer shell in frame.
