In a method and system for handling expanded material (5) which is made from a metal foil and is produced by forming cuts or breakthroughs in a cutting device (4), the expanded material (5) is cut into pieces (16) having a predefined length using a cutting device (15) after making the cuts or breakthroughs in the long metal foil, whereupon the cut expanded material (5) is introduced into a receptacle (21) to be filled with the expanded material (5) especially by applying a negative pressure inside the receptacle (21), whereby a simple and reliable method and system for handling expanded material are created. |
