PURPOSE: A device for preventing the damage to a belt is provided to enable a guide roller to be easily attached/detached since the guide roller can be mounted or separated through the entrance on the outer wall surface of a bracket. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing the damage to a belt comprises a bracket(20) and a guide roller(30). The bracket is assembled to both lower sides of the frame of a belt conveyor. The guide roller rolls both ends of the belt in case of belt meandering in a state of being supported on the bracket to prevent the damage to a belt. An entrance(22), through which the guide roller can enter and exit, is prepared on the outer wall surface of the bracket. A lower hole(24), which is communicated with the entrance and has an elongated hole shape, is prepared on the floor of the bracket so that the lower shaft of the guide roller can be inserted into the bracket. An upper hole, into which the upper shaft of the guide roller is inserted, is prepared on the upper wall surface of the bracket.
