PURPOSE: A flexible gas barrier film, a method for manufacturing the same, a flexible display device using the same are provided to reduce water permeation rate by controlling energy on the surface of the barrier film. CONSTITUTION: A hydrophobic pattern layer(2) is repetitively formed on a transparent base film. A pattern includes an embossed pattern. The width of the pattern is less than 10um. A gap of the centers of the patterns is 0.1 to 10 times of the width of the pattern. The thickness of the hydrophobic pattern layer is between 100 and 3000nm. The height of the pattern is between 50 and 2500nm.
