PURPOSE: A compound and a curable composition comprising the compound are provided to ensure excellent curability due to low viscosity and low volatility and to form patterns with high precision while avoiding the contamination of the inside of an imprint device. CONSTITUTION: A compound is represented by chemical formulas 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and has a molecular weight of 310 or more. In chemical formulas, R1 and R2 represent hydrogen atom or methyl group, R3 is C4 ~ 10 hydrocarbon group, R4 is C8 ~ 14 alkyl group, R5 is C4 ~ 15 alkyl group or unsaturated hydrocarbon group, R6 is C2 ~ 10 straight chained alkyl group, R7 is C2 ~ 12 unsaturated hydrocarbon group or (meth) acryloyloxyethyl group, and R8 C6 ~ 15 hydrocarbon group. |
