<p>Toilet seat heating where standby power for unused time for heat retention of a toilet seat is reduced, and as a result, the toilet seat heating is extremely energy saving and safe. A heated toilet seat has a toilet seat (22) provided with a seating section (24) and a cavity (27) inside the seating section (24); a radiation-type heat producing body (29) provided in the cavity (27); a temperature detection means (44) for detecting the temperature of the seating section (24) of the toilet seat (22); a reflection body (28) for reflecting radiation light from the radiation-type heat producing body (29); a thermostat (30) serially connected to the radiation-type heat producing body (29) and having a bimetal (51) for receiving the radiation light from the radiation-type heat producing body (29); and a control section (50) for controlling electricity conduction to the radiation-type heat producing body (29) based on a signal from the temperature detection means (44). An abnormal rise in the temperature at the surface of the toilet seat (22) is detected to shutoff a circuit, so that the toilet seat can be heated in a short time and the heated toilet seat is safe.</p> |
