The invention relates to a method for transmitting packets between an application of an emitting equipment and an application of a receiving equipment through a packet network, in which the transmission speed of said packets is greater than the transmission capacity of the transport channel of a connection of said packet network, comprising the step of : storing in an input queue of a determined protocol layer, a plurality of packets (pi) coming from a higher order protocol layer. The method also comprises: controlling the insertion of the packets in output queues of a lower order protocol layer by means of a plurality of processes implemented in said determined protocol layer, in which each output queue is associated in a one-to-one manner to one of said processes and is in turn associated with a determined physical interface, said processes being configured to control the insertion of packets in said output queues depending on the outbound packet flow of said physical interfaces; and transmitting the packets inserted in said output queues through respective transport channels of said packet network.
