Many suitable organic nitro compounds, nitrogencontaining compounds and noble metal halides are specified. The examples all relate to the conversion of 2,4-dinitro toluene to 2,4-toluene di-isocyanate, 2-isocyanato-4-nitrotoluene and 4. isocyanato - 2 - nitrotoluene at 190 C. and 2500-3800 p.s.i.g. |
