A trap for use in association with a wash basin, or a dish or clothes washing machine, comprises a casing with a top opening for the inflow of liquid through a tube 11, and an outflow 2, the casing containing an externally controlled receptacle 7, movable on slides 14 fixed to, or integral with the casing or receptacle, which receptacle contains al collar 10 for retaining, e.g. valuable objects, and can be reached from the outside of the casing via a further aperture (5), (Fig. 1, not shown), in the side of the casing. |
