1335425 Thermoplastic polymer compositions MONTECATINI EDISON SpA 17 June 1971 [19 June 1970] 28563/71 Headings C3G and C3P Thermoplastic polymer compositions comprise (a) at least one vinyl chloride polymer and/or copolymer having a syndiotactic index of from 1À8 to 2À4 and (b) a polymethylmethacrylate having a M.W. of 100,000-1,000,000. The compositions preferably also contain (c) a highly resilient polymer, which may be one of many defined types. Exemplified compositions comprise crystalline PVC, polymethylmethacrylate, either of the two graft copolymers specified below, a Ba-Cd stabilizer, lead stearate, epoxyoctyl stearate, calcium stearate, "Vaseline oil" (Registered Trade Mark), TiO 2 and CaCO 3 . The graft copolymers used are (1) a copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile on an elastomeric butadiene/acrylonitrile base copolymer, and (2) a copolymer of styrene and methylmethacrylate on an elastomeric butadiene/styrene base copolymer. |
