<p>The work piece is clamped on a holder mounted on a toothed crown wheel which can be rotated in synchronism with the sewing machine by a drive sprocket to move the work piece in a path corresponding to the shape of the crown wheel past the stitching position. The crown wheel may include cam elements which actuate a switch to stop the needle when the path of the work piece changes direction to thus produce a broken line of stitching.</p> |
