<p>Orange-red-bordeaux red disazo dyes contg. a sulphonic acid gp for dyeing nitrogen-contg. materials such as wool, silk and esp synthetic superpolyamides and superpolyurethanes fast shares, have the formula (where A is 2-5C alkylene; R1, R2, R3 and R5 are each H, Cl, Br, alkoxy or alkyl; R4 is H, Cl, Br, alkyl alkoxy or acylamino; R6 is alkyl; R7 is H or alkyl; B is 1:4-phenylene or 1:4-naphtthylene; m is 1-4) may be prepared by diazotising amines of formula reacting when with amides of formula: HBR2R3NHZ (wherein Z is H, -SO3H or -CH2SO3H) to obtain monazo dyes of formula: which are diazotised after the gp 2 has been opt separated by acid or alkaline saponification, and coupled with amines of formula.</p> |
