The method involves directly detecting abnormality within an electrochemical battery (2) as a path of a harmful chemical reaction within the battery or physical degradation of the battery, by carrying out acoustic analysis of the battery. The abnormality is detected by filtering an acoustic signal provoking from the battery to identify a signal provoking from the harmful chemical reaction or physical degradation, where the filtered acoustic signal has a signal generated by creating moisture blow within the battery by the harmful chemical reaction during decomposition reaction of water. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electrochemical battery comprising direct detection units (2) an electrochemical battery charger comprising a recharging device.
