The device (10) has an ignition coil (14) whose axis (22) is inclined with an axis (20) of an ignition plug (12), where the ignition coil is inserted into a shaft (24) of the ignition plug. An axis of the shaft is inclined with respect to the axis of the ignition plug. An elastic fixation element i.e. O-shaped ring, is equipped in the shaft. An angle between the axes of the ignition plug and the ignition coil is between 10 and 20 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a cylinder head comprising a cylinder head cover.
