The assembly has a housing (2) with edge (2a) that is connected with edge (1a) of a passenger compartment side (1), where the edge of the passenger compartment side carries a projecting tab (4). A rigid element (5) i.e. folded metal sheet lug, is inserted between the projecting tab and bottom (6) of the housing. A part (5a) of the rigid element is fixed at the bottom of the housing. Another part (5b) of the rigid element is utilized as a support for an interior face of the projecting tab. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a passenger compartment side.
