Provided are a method and an electronic device for receiving, viewing and forwarding information published on network. The method for receiving the information published on network includes: according to the pre-subscription of a second electronic device, content update related information sent from a first electronic device is received when the content is updated by a network information platform on the first electronic device; the content update related information is stored in a first part of a contact object record located in an address book stored in the second electronic device, and contact object information of the contact object record is stored in a second part of the contact object record, and the network information platform corresponds to the contact object record through the contact object information. By the method and the electronic device for receiving, viewing and forwarding the information published on network, users are able to view the content of information update on the network information platform in real time without logging on the network information platform.
