The present invention relates to a system and method for compressing and decompressing a port number of header information of a transport layer mounted on a near field communication-based protocol, and a device applied thereto. According to the present invention, the system for compressing and decompressing the port number of the header information of the transport layer mounted on the near field communication-based protocol comprises a configuration for compressing or decompressing a field for a unique number such as a port number or a sequence number of the near field communication-type protocol standard in order to efficiently transmit contents to be broadcasted to a short-range area, when the contents are broadcasted to the short-range area by a near field communication method after the contents to be broadcasted to the predetermined short-range area are delivered to an access point (AP) corresponding to the short-range area through a wired network. Thus, the invention compresses header information of an upper layer more efficiently in a network which is linked between the wired network and a near field communication network, thereby remarkably improving the transmission efficiency of data to be transmitted.
