PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for detecting a defective pixel address, for highly accurately detecting an address of a defective pixel with an inexpensive means. SOLUTION: In the method and the device for detecting a defective pixel address, a movable photographing device for photographing a part of a display panel as an object to be detected is used, a defective pixel discovered by moving the photographing device is photographed and, from information on a movement distance of the photographing device when specifying the position of the defective pixel on a photographed image, sizes of pixels on the display panel as the object to be detected and an array form of the pixels, the address of the defective pixel is obtained.
