<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device which reduces a cost and a size, uses various kinds of piezoelectric elements, and appropriately exhibits touch feeling without giving a sense of discomfort to an operator, and also to provide a control method of the input apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The input apparatus includes: a touch sensor 11 for detecting a touch input; a piezoelectric element 13 mounted to the touch sensor 11; a load detection part 18 for detecting a press load against a touch surface 11a of the touch sensor 11 based on output of the piezoelectric element 13, and determining whether the press load satisfies a criterion for exhibiting the touch feeling; and a piezoelectric element drive part 15 for driving the piezoelectric element 13 so as to exhibit the touch feeling to an object that presses the touch surface 11a when the load detection part 18 determines that the criterion is satisfied. After a prescribed time elapses after the piezoelectric element drive part 15 drives the piezoelectric element 13, the load detection part 18 restarts the detection of the press load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
