PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring and control device for improving the efficiency of operation in a setting operation for setting response to display contents of a display panel and an operation in an operation input unit in the monitoring and control device. SOLUTION: The monitoring and control device 1 with the display panel 2, the operation input unit 3, a control unit, a memory 13 and a communication circuit in a device body 5 has a communication unit 4 for communicating with a setting device for performing setting about screen display and load control of the display panel 2, wherein the control unit acquires setting information stored in the setting device through the communication unit 4 and stores the setting information in the memory 13.
