PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attachment/detachment of an oil filter to an engine and replacement of filter elements. SOLUTION: The oil filter includes: a bottomed-tubular casing 2; a central tubular part 3 disposed at the central part thereof and axially extended; and the tubular filter element 5 housed in an element housing chamber 4 demarcated between the central tubular part and the casing. The central tubular part is formed to be projected from an inner face of a bottom wall 12 of the casing to an opening part 8 side of the casing, and a tip part 9 thereof is detachably connected to an engine body 11. The filter element is fitted onto the central tubular part from the tip part of the central tubular part, and is fixed to the central tubular part with a slip-off preventive member 13 detachably engaged with the tip part of the central tubular part.
