PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming coated film capable of suppressing the thinning of a coated film in the neighborhood of the coating upper end of a cylindrical body to be coated. SOLUTION: The method of forming coated film, in which the cylindrical body to be coated is immersed into a coating liquid, thereafter, is drawn up while being rotated around a cylindrical axis to perform immersion coating so as to form the coated film on the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical body to be coated, includes: a first process of performing the immersion coating for a first cylindrical body to be coated; a second process of measuring a film thickness of the coated film formed on the first process; a third process of obtaining conditions of the rotation around the cylindrical axis upon the drawing-up of the body to be coated in the immersion coating from information provided by comparing the thickness measured on the second process with a prescribed film thickness; and a fourth process of performing the immersion coating by using the conditions of the rotation provided on the third process with respect to the second cylindrical body to be coated which does not pass through the first process.
