A control method for auxiliary electric heating of an air conditioner includes following steps: zero-crossing time of a signal of a power supply (50) is detected by a zero-crossing signal detecting module (20); a voltage applied to two ends of an auxiliary electric heating module (60) of the air conditioner is adjusted by a main control module (30) according to the conducting time of a zero-crossing time control switch module (40). An auxiliary electric heating apparatus of an air conditioner is also provided, which is based on the control method as above described.
