<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detects defects of a power conversion means including specific defective spots. <P>SOLUTION: A three-phase to two-phase conversion unit 31 detects a d-axis current Id and a q-axis current Iq of an electric motor based on phase currents Iu to Iw of individual phases detected by a current sensor 11. The dq-axis current zero cross detection units 32 and 33 detect that the d-axis current Id or the q-axis current Iq has become a zero state. A failure decision unit 34, when it has been detected that the d-axis current Id or the q-axis current Iq is in a zero state, performs defect detection for specifying a defective spot in an inverter based on the rotation speed θ of the electric motor detected by a rotation angle sensor 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
