<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently cooling process units, regarding the image forming apparatus which has a plurality of process units and can form a color image on a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A laser printer 1 is provided with four process cartridges 50 so as to align at intervals in a body casing 10. On the upper part of the body casing 10, an upper cover 12, the first cylindrical arm 17, and the second cylindrical arm 18 are pivotally supported. When the upper cover 12 is located in an obstruction position, flow-down space S is formed between the process cartridges 50 by a closing member 35 or the like. The first vent hole 17A of the first arm 17 is opposed to the second vent hole 18A and frame vent holes 19 through the flow-down space S. When operating an exhaust fan 95, air outside the body casing 10 is introduced into the flow-down space S through the second vent hole 18A and the frame vent holes 19, and is ejected from the exhaust fan 95 through the first vent hole 17A and the first arm 17 after flowing down the flow-down space S. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
