PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate and secure fixing of a rafter to horizontal members and visually check the rafter fixing state from below, even after construction of sheathing roof boards. SOLUTION: A plate 11 with a hole 11a undergoing insertion of the shaft 12b of a wood screw 12 and arranged on the upper face 20a of the rafter 20, and the wooden screw 12 penetrating through the rafter 20 from the hole 11a and screwed into the horizontal member 30 on which the rafter 20 is placed, are prepared. Then, the plate 11 is arranged on the upper face 20a of the rafter 20 so as to allow at least part of the plate 11 to protrude to the side of the rafter 20. The wood screw 12 is screwed into the horizontal member 30 through the rafter 20 from the hole 11a so as to visually check from below the extruded part 11' of the plate 11 protruded to the side from the rafter 20.
