PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system and an exhaust method capable of reducing running cost required for ventilation, and attenuating radioactivity. SOLUTION: This exhaust system for exhausting after attenuating radioactivity in radioactive gaseous waste generated in an accelerator room R includes: a storage mechanism 3 formed by communicating in series, a plurality of units 11-14 for storing the radioactive gaseous waste; a blowing means 2 for blowing with air, the radioactive gaseous waste in the accelerator room R into the storage mechanism 3; and a blowing means 4 for blowing the radioactive gaseous waste from one unit into another unit adjacent thereto. In the system, radioactivity is attenuated by storing the radioactive gaseous waste for a prescribed time in the blocked state from the outside in each unit. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
